Chicco d’Oro becomes Official Coffee Supplier of Zurich 2024

Chicco d’Oro, the well-known Swiss coffee brand, will be part of the Zurich 2024 family. As Official Coffee Supplier, the traditional company, founded in 1949, will provide fans, media representatives and other visitors with its tasty coffee products.

Cycling and coffee are closely linked. After all, cycling fans are (almost) always coffee fans too and love being able to enjoy this drink at events.

Chicco d’Oro will be selling its products at numerous locations at the 2024 UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships in Zurich this coming September. For example, in the food court on Sechseläutenplatz, which will be set up in the Zurich Film Festival Dome, and at up to eight sales trolleys in the Sechseläutenplatz, Bürkliplatz and General-Guisan-Quai fan zones. The coffee will be served in the VIP area of the UCI Lounge, while journalists in the media centre in the Kongresshaus will get a boost from the coffee partner’s energising drinks.

Flexible offer – cold or warm depending on the weather

Chicco d’Oro will be gearing its range to the weather during the 2024 UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships. Like the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Zurich 2024, the coffee manufacturer is naturally hoping for a pleasant, sunny and warm late summer. Cold coffee beverages will be available for this weather situation. Of course, there will also be hot coffee in various flavours and coffee shots.

Active in sports promotion for a long time

Vittorio Maspoli, Sales Manager at Chicco d’Oro, emphasises his company’s long-standing commitment to promoting sport. “Chicco d’Oro is active in both youth and professional sport. In the field of cycling, we are present at various events, including the Tour de Suisse since 2018. We are delighted to be able to support the Local Organising Committee of these unique UCI World Championships in 2024 and would like to thank them for their cooperation.”

“Coffee is a must at a cycling race,” says Gabriela Buchs, co-project manager for the supporting events of the 2024 UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships. “We are delighted to have found the ideal partner in Chicco d’Oro, who will spoil VIPs, journalists and fans alike with their coffee specialities. Chicco d’Oro, whom we would like to thank for their trust, is the perfect addition to our existing beverage partners to offer a versatile portfolio.”
