Getting to the 2024 UCI Road and Para-cycling Road Worlds with PubliBike

PubliBike and the Local Organising Committee Zurich 2024 are launching a strategic marketing cooperation in the area of environmentally friendly event travel. As part of this collaboration, spectators can park their car in the AMAG Messe Zürich multi-storey car park, then enjoy a relaxed ride on a PubliBike to the 2024 UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships in Zurich with a 50% discount on the regular rental fee.

850,000, but hopefully many more: the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Zurich 2024 is expecting crowds of fans and visitors to watch the UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships next September. The majority are likely to travel by public transport – or with their own or a rented bike. But there is also an innovative way to travel into Zurich to watch this international event: The AMAG multi-storey car park at Messe Zürich is offering event visitors special conditions for parking fees. Once they have parked their car, they can easily switch to a PubliBike to reach the finish area at Sechseläutenplatz and the various fan zones, benefitting at the same time from a 50% discount on the B-Quick offer from the bike-sharing provider.

“LOC Zurich 2024 is delighted to be promoting environmentally friendly travel options thanks to the strategic cooperation with PubliBike,” said Ina Bauspiess, Head of Marketing & Sponsoring. “Together We Park & Bike. And: Together We Communicate. All partners involved will realise various marketing measures for the travel offers in the coming months. We are also looking forward to the UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships advertising on the PubliBike bike baskets in late summer.”

During the event in Zurich, the various PubliBike stations located in or near the perimeter of the UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships will be fully active. The PubliBike station on General-Guisan-Quai, where one of the fan zones will be located, will also be able to be expanded spontaneously for this period if there is an increased demand.

For Markus Bacher, Chief Executive Officer of PubliBike, the strategic marketing cooperation fulfils one of the company’s most important goals: “PubliBike wants as many people as possible to be able to travel seamlessly, especially at a major event like the 2024 UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships, where the bicycle takes centre stage. Our offer in cooperation with the AMAG car park at Messe Zürich combines the various individual modes of transport in an ideal way.”
